Reagen Troutman from Pinstriped Pokadots is proud to
announce that the Community Collaboration Iterations is back
for its 3rd year.  Iterations is a Community Art Movement that
focuses on collaboration and creativity.   Conceived by Troutman
and Lloyd Purdy, the former Director of the Down Town
Partnership, the project has been a huge success and has had
over 200 participants age 3-93.  “The projects concept is similar
to the game “telephone or hot-potato,” Troutman giggled.  “One
person starts with the artwork, and passes it to the next person,
each time the artwork changes hands, it develops, and when
the time run outs, the person holding the ‘hot-potato’ had to
finish it.”  This years project varies from other years in that it is
sculpture based.  “The project has been successful thanks to
all the wonderful artists and members of the community”,
Troutman said.  “We’ve tried the project a few different ways,
and this year we’ve added a 3-dimensional element.”
The community is invited to come and work on the sculptures on Wednesday April 22 from
5:30-7pm, at the Beard Building, 9 Main Street, Cortland.  An opening Reception featuring the finished artwork
will be held on Thursday May 14th from 5pm-7pm, also at the Beard Building. The project is made possible this
year with funds from the McDonald Foundation, The Beard Building Gallery Committee, The Downtown
Partnership, SUNY Cortland, Pinstriped Pokadots, The Cultural Council of Cortland County, and people like
you.  To learn more about the project, or to find out how you or your school, group, or organization can
